For custom gear, prices offered are basics with all hardware listed.  Any bling, fancy conchos, studs, rivets, carving, etc will change the price.

Outcome of tack repairs much depends on shape of items supplied.  Dry rot, brittle, sun baked, damaged or cracked leather may not be able to be repaired without risking damage to the item.  Basic labor charge is calculated at $25/hr..  If you do not see your repair listed, please call us for a quote (prices as of January 1, 2019).  Custom quotes are good for 14 days from day of quote.

Lead times are offered as a guide line, but can also be affected by where your item is in the production line.  Lead times can increase during busier times or due to number of large projects in the shop.

Prices listed are base prices and may vary slightly due to condition of saddle/tack, carving, detail, difficulty in deconstructing the saddle for repair, etc.

CLEANING/OILING
Basic Cleaning and oiling $55*     
Charge increases based on amount of silver, how much build up and dirt, dryness of leather, etc.
Cleaning will include 

-Removing dirt and grime
-Safety check and cleaning of rigging under seat and jockey area. 
-Checking/Tightening loose nails/screws/staples.

-Light oiling of all leather parts on grain side including saddle strings

SADDLE STRINGS
1/2x36"  thin leather latigo $55 per pair installed*

 These are the more contemporary saddle strings, which are wider and thinner than traditional strings.

5/8"x36" thicker veg tan leather hand burnished  $65 per pair installed*

Made from quality veg tanned leather, these strings are soaped, edged and burnished using the traditional methods of hand burnished strings.  These are thicker, longer and hold up to steady use.  These are recommended for older saddles, working saddles and applications where your latigo saddle strings will be frequently used.

CANTLE BINDING
Remove old cantle binding leather and install and install new leather. Cheyenne Style. Carve or stamp to match pattern on saddle. Time will vary depending upon carving or stamping on saddle     $175.00 +labor

HORN REPAIR    
STANDARD HORN: Remove Swell cover, and cut and fit new leather for horn cap and wrap.  Stain to match saddle as close as possible.  Re-apply swell cover. Carving or installing silver cap extra.        $165.00

BRAIDED RAWHIDE: Remove swell cover, cut and fit rawhide, horn cap and braid wrap, seal to protect.  Re-apply swell cover $300

STIRRUP LEATHERS
These are the straps that the stirrup fenders attach to.  Leather is cut from the strongest choice spot on the hide, which is along the spine from front to back to ensure best durability and no stretching. Leathers are oiled, edges burnished and holes punched. Slide lock loop is attached in last punched hole to help keep slider on leather. 
Latigo reinforced holes and stitching extra by quote.

FENDER REPLACEMENT/REPAIR    
New replacements are cut from quality saddle skirting.  The edges will be rounded and burnished and they will be oiled. We can make them the same shape and design as your old fenders if you have at least one. If not, we will measure and design a new pair for your saddle.  Buckle bracket end is stitched for reinforcement. Fender top edge is sewn additionally for reinforcement. Copper rivets are used to attach fender to leather strap.

CHECKBOOK COVERS
Hand carved from top quality carving cowhide, with choice of natural calfskin or natural Kangaroo leather liner. Each checkbook cover is hand laced using either calf or kangaroo leather lacing material. Each checkbook cover is made to the customer's request. They may be personalized by the adding of initials. Customer has the choice of the Sheridan Brown finish or natural color of the leather. All checkbook covers receive a finish coat of a high quality neutral shoe wax.

BELTS
Hand carved from top quality carving sides. Comes in single thickness (8 to 9 ounce thickness), lined is extra. Edges are stitched, if you want Kangaroo leather lacing, that is extra. 
There are many carving patterns to choose from including Sheridan, Oak Leaf, as well as geometric and pictoral designs. All edges are hand rubbed to a high gloss. The belts then receive the finish coat of a high qualityprotective coating. All belts are made to have buckle secured with Chicago style screws or snaps - customers preference.
